“THE AGONY OF JESUS IN THE GARDEN”

Our community are troubled by miseries, but we continue to be unmindful of them while there are many who became victims of our negligence.

 STA. CRUZ CHURCH

 3rd Station

“JESUS FACES THE SANHEDRIN”

You stood as a victim of these merciless justice and this is experienced by those who are weak and have no strength to defend themselves.

“THE SCOURGING AND CROWNING WITH THORNS”

Loving Jesus, you were betrayed by those people whom you’ve felt compassion for and having been influenced by your enemies, they mocked you and put into death.

“JESUS ACCEPTS HIS CROSS”

Obtain for us dear Lord the grace to be compassionate with our neighbor in atonement for our wrongdoings. May we always remember that you are with us, in our cross of everyday lives.

“JESUS FALLS BECAUSE OF THE HEAVY CROSS”

 When we stumble Lord, come to our rescue! And if we no longer can bear the many trials that come our way, obtain for us a compassionate heart that we may not be a burden to others.

“SIMON HELPS JESUS CARRY HIS CROSS”

Lord, send more people like Simon of Cyrene. Give us those who have the courage to carry other’s burden in the spirit of sacrifice and brotherhood.

“JESUS MEETS THE WOMEN OF JERUSALEM”

Lord Jesus, the women of Jerusalem grieved so much for you. They strongly followed you on your way to the Calvary. May we also imitate them in our atonement of sins.

  

9^th Station

“JESUS NAILED TO THE CROSS”

Obtain for us O lord, the grace to fulfill our duties and obligations in the spirit of love, even if these will bring us pain, just like being crucified on the cross.

“THE REPENTANT THIEF”

Many times we encounter people who have faltered and wish t renew and change their lives. Grant us Lord that we may welcome these people in the same manner that you opened your arms to the repentant thief.

11^th Station

“VIRGIN MARY AND JOHN AT THE FOOT OF THE CROSS”

Your sorrowful mother Lord had loved you  so dearly more than any person in the world. And you also loved her more than anyone. You brought peace and joy to our lives because you gave all to us your mother, who is also our mother.

“JESUS DIES ON THE CROSS”

We pray that at the end of our earthly life, we will die, trusting and uttering your words. Father, into your hands we commend our spirits.

“JESUS BURIED IN THE TOMB”

Your death gave meaning and hope to our death. Thanks be to you, this has become a peaceful rest in the arms of Mother Earth that awaits the dawn of the glorious resurrection that will destroy all the obstacles of death now and forever.

“JESUS RISES FROM THE DEAD”

Your rising from the dead Lord is the cornerstone of our resurrection, even up to now. This will serve as a challenge to us, to rise up from the death brought by sin towards everlasting life.

 “If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for Him.”
